What it is
Herbal Defense for Kids has the same five organic herbs as our Herbal Defense Tincture, extracted in vegetable glycerin instead of alcohol. Glycerin is naturally sweet, which takes the edge off the herbs’ strong, bitter taste. There’s nothing artificial or synthetic in it, and every ingredient is listed.
What’s inside
- Echinacea, the purple coneflower of the American prairie.
- Goldenseal root, a woodland plant of eastern North America, known for its golden color and bitter taste.
- Barberry root and Oregon grape root, two yellow-rooted shrubs long found in traditional herbalism.
- Black walnut hull, from the American black walnut tree.
- Vegetable glycerin, a plant-based, alcohol-free base.
Suggested use
Give 2-3 times a day, by age:
– Ages 2-3: about 10 drops
– Ages 4-6: about 12-15 drops
– Ages 7-9: about 20-24 drops
– Ages 10-12: about 30 drops
– Ages 13 and up: 1-2 droppers
Shake well before use. Keep out of reach of children.
Cautions
For ages 2 and up. Not for children under 2. Consult your child’s healthcare provider before giving any herbal product, especially if your child has a medical condition or takes medication. Avoid if allergic to tree nuts. Adults: do not use if pregnant or nursing.
